"Researchers recently found out how many steps women need to take in mid-life to prevent disease. According to results published in the journal Menopause, it takes 6,000 or more steps a day for women to live a healthier life.
Staying active, no matter how you do it, is important for curbing the chances of heart disease and metabolic syndrome that can lead to type 2 diabetes, according to the study authors."
