Abstract

Successful physicians understand the importance of communication. In order to provide advice to patients and improve patient compliance, physicians need to take their knowledge and information and package it so that patients understand what the doctor is saying and then are motivated to take action in order to improve their health. Magicians are also effective communicators, and doctors can learn from magicians how to enhance their interactions with their patients. This article will discuss some of the common techniques used by magicians that can be adopted by physicians to improve their communication skills.
