"...NHS workers should be routinely weighed, in the same way children are at school."

Overweight doctors and nurses will be offered Zumba classes and sports clubs

Hospitals will receive a share of £600m if they give staff access to fitness classes and introduce restrictions on junk food sales and promotions, under new plans announced by the head of the NHS

"Tam Fry, from the National Obesity Forum, questioned whether it was a sensible use of money.
He said NHS workers should be routinely weighed, in the same way children are at school.
“Nowhere in the announcement does the NHS acknowledge that some 700,000 of its staff are overweight or obese or how it proposes to evaluate if its £600m financial incentive is value for money."
