GPs sent obese patients to hospital more than half a million times last year
‘Shameful’ figures show GPs sent obese patients to hospital more than half a million times last year
Thousands of under 16s were sent to hospital, with the study showing referrals were up by a fifth
"Shocking figures show that twice as many women than men, on some 350,000 occasions, were admitted to hospital with the condition in 2015/16.
Obesity was recorded as the primary or secondary diagnosis."
Timothy Craig Allen, M.D.,J.D.
