Gov. Perry Reappoints Ho and Figueroa to Texas Judicial Council




Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Allyson Ho of Dallas and Richard Figueroa of Brenham to the Texas Judicial Council for terms to expire June 30, 2019. The council studies and reports on the organization and practices of the Texas judicial system.
Ho is an attorney with Morgan, Lewis and Bockius LLP. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas Appellate and Individual Rights and Responsibilities sections, the Federalist Society Litigation Practice Group Executive Committee, and American Law Institute. She is a volunteer attorney for the Liberty Institute, a member of the da Vinci School Parent Organization and a founding Greenhill Fellow of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society. Ho received a bachelor's degree from Duke University, a master's degree and doctorate degree in English from Rice University, and a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
Figueroa is a certified public accountant and vice president of UBS. He is an ambassador for the Greater Houston Partnership, chair of the Houston UBS Region Community Engagement Board, director of the Young Life Hispanic National Committee, chair of the Hispanic Impact Panel and a board member of the American Leadership Forum Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter. He is past president of the Downtown Houston Kiwanis Club, former director of Mission Houston, former council member of the International Leadership Institute and a past member of the Escape Family Resource Center Executive Committee. Figueroa received a bachelor's degree and master's degree in accounting and economics from Texas A&M University.
