Long-term obesity tied to higher dementia risk in healthy older adults



"Over the first decade of the study, healthy people who were obese or overweight were less likely to develop dementia than healthy people at a normal weight, the study found. But after that, obesity was associated with a 17 percent higher risk of dementia and being heavier no longer appeared to be protective."
