Diabetes May Be More Likely In Latino Individuals

"Diabetes is a very serious illness that can increase the risk of developing cardiovascular issues such as heart disease and stroke. According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), there are more than 25.8 million people living with the disease, 10.9 million of whom are over 65. While there is not a cure for diabetes yet, researchers are working hard to learn more about it and how it affects individuals. A recent study conducted at the Cedars-Sinai research facility found that Latino individuals may have a higher risk of developing diabetes than others."
