"Kripke’s predecessor, Dr. Alfred Gilman, referred to this debate in an email to a colleague on the day he announced his resignation in May, 2012, referring to some members of the Oversight Committee as the “we should spend much more money on commercialization people.” He did not name them.
That oversight committee is gone, swept away by the CPRIT reform bill that the legislature approved last year.
