Forbes' Adomanis misses the point. Sure, Pussy Riot isn't Stalinism. But it's slipping down that slope.

The Pussy Riot Trial Is Bad, But It's Definitely Not "Stalinism"

"So was the Pussy Riot trial bad? Yes. Was it distasteful? Yes. Should people protest it? Yes. But was it equivalent to Stalinism? Absolutely not. Stalinism was more than just something that was vaguely distasteful or unpleasant, it had a number of very real, and very bad, traits that were unique to it. Speaking frankly, it’s actually quite distasteful to compare the millions of victims of Stalinist political violence to the members of Pussy Riot. It would be like comparing a book that was “banned in Boston” to one that was burned by the Nazis: neither is good and neither is defensible, but one is much, much, worse than the other."
