It is vital that physicians maintain their integrity and keep the patient’s trust. Otherwise, the patient and his or her family may ‘‘go in desperation from Internet site to Internet site, and to nontraditional healers or marginal practitioners, in search of answers and of someone they
think they can trust. Because, in the end, someone must be trusted.’’13
