"But before we go blaming these modern age gadgets, we need to indulge in some introspection and question our own habits."

Habitual checking of smartphones and tablet use leads to poor sleep thus affecting our health

"Our inadvertent over-reliance on technology, especially smartphones and tablets to keep abreast of news, work and simply to stay connected to our friends and relatives, is taking a toll on our health. But before we go blaming these modern age gadgets, we need to indulge in some introspection and question our own habits. This could lead to obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Lack of sufficient rest for the body to recuperate, which occurs best when we are in deep sleep, triggers unhealthy eating habits and fatigue."
