Data Reveals 400,000 'Zombie' iOS Apps By Stephanie Mlot July 31, 2012 "Flexing its muscles for the first time today, the new Apptrace tool discovered 400,000 "zombie" iOS apps. Berlin-based mobile analytics and ad verification firm Adeven unveiled the beta version of Apptrace today, which confirmed that almost two-thirds of the 650,000 apps in the Apple App Store are left untouched. The App Store has several thousand apps that get downloaded on a regular basis, but the rest sit idly in the store, gathering dust and remaining invisible to users."
