The Statewide Clinical Trials Network of Texas told its employees Jan. 28 it would be closing its doors less than three years after it was awarded a $25.2 million grant from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas.

“Who benefitted here?” Geyer asked. “Who did this benefit? And I can’t find anybody that’s better off because of this. It’s a sad day all the way around.”
