Calling in the fat police: Teachers and even school groundskeepers can report obese kids to welfare authorities for 'child abuse'

- Doctors have said parents should be able to choose what their children eat
- At least one in four children aged 2 to 17 are overweight or obese in Australia
Last month, a South Australian mother was left mortified after her daughter's pre-school sent her a scolding note after she packed a chocolate slice in the three-year-old's lunchbox.
'Your child has chocolate slice from the red food category today,' the letter read.
'Please choose healthier options for kindy.'
