Since starting Oct. 22, Klain has been seen only once, in a photo op on his first day, leaving health officials from the CDC andNational Institutes of Health — and Obama himself — to be the public "face" of the response, Business Insider reported Oct. 29.

BI noted, "It's not often that a White House official gets mocked on both 'Saturday Night Live' and a major daily newspaper before he makes his first public appearance.
