Pathologists need to reach out to the general public – and the earlier, the better

I’m an avid watcher of the BBC2 fly-on-the-wall documentary Hospital. On the show, “the lab” is referenced quite often, but the term “pathology” is never used. Why not? And could a small change like using the word “pathology” start the ball rolling in making others aware of how much we are involved in healthcare?
